Woodbine Performance Horses has moved to 60 Nelson Rd, Nelson. This is a wonderful new property situated on 40 picture perfect acres and still only 45minutes from Sydneys CBD. WPH trains and educates horses from the ground up. We offer schooling and training services for race-horses and performance horses alike. Training horses can be an amazingly rewarding and profitable experience. A well trained horse is relaxed, calm and happy and is able to perform at his optimum. Unfortunately so many horses fall short of reaching even close to their full potential simply through a lack of understanding of what is being asked of him. Mis-communication, inconsistent training, and the handler mis-reading the horse can stifle a horse’s talent at best and lead to the development of dangerous behavioural problems that render him useless at worse. For the racing industry we offer many services from weanling and yearling prep, Starting (breaking in), behavioural problems, barrier training right through to race preparation. We use only non-violent methods but we also understand the race-horse is an investment that needs to perform to be of any value. We also offer performance and pleasure horse schooling. We deal with behavioural issues on the ground and under saddle. Float or truck training, dressage, jumping and Cross-country schooling and rider coaching. Penny is an accredited NCAS coach and provides instruction at home and at competitions. Herself an elite level competitor, Penny understands the pressures of competition for both horse and rider.   WPH is situated in Box Hill in the north west of Sydney.
